L'Amiante is a regional county municipality in southeastern Quebec, Canada. It is located in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec. The seat is in Thetford Mines. Amiante is the French word for asbestos, and the RCM is adjacent to the Asbestos Regional County Municipality. This is because asbestos is abundant in the region.
