La Grange is a town located in Goshen County, Wyoming. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 332.

La Grange is located at 41°38'18" North, 104°9'52" West (41.638359, -104.164330)1.


According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.0 km² (0.4 mi²). 1.0 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.


Demographics

As of the census2 of 2000, there are 332 people, 86 households, and 57 families residing in the town. The population density is 337.3/km² (884.3/mi²). There are 108 housing units at an average density of 109.7/km² (287.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 93.98% White, 0.30% African American, 1.81% Native American, 1.20% Asian, 0.30% Pacific Islander, 0.60% from other races, and 1.81% from two or more races. 7.53% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.


There are 86 households out of which 31.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.1% are married couples living together, 9.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 32.6% are non-families. 29.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.66 and the average family size is 3.40.


In the town the population is spread out with 21.7% under the age of 18, 39.8% from 18 to 24, 16.9% from 25 to 44, 10.5% from 45 to 64, and 11.1% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 22 years. For every 100 females there are 96.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 100.0 males.


The median income for a household in the town is $18,750, and the median income for a family is $27,917. Males have a median income of $16,875 versus $11,250 for females. The per capita income for the town is $8,056. 24.6% of the population and 28.3% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 21.3% of those under the age of 18 and 14.3% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
