Events outside La moncada Every year there is a soccer game played by the teams of Chicago and Dallas. The teams are made up of soccer players from La Moncada, one year they play in Dallas and the next year in Chicago. This has been going on for about 17 years. This is done over labor day weekend. The event starts with a mass followed by a couple soccer games. But it does not end there it is followed with an evening filled with fun. There is food and drinks for everyone. There is also music so that people can dance. Many people attend this from 3,000-5,000 people. The only problem is that the last few years the night has ended early, because of irresponsible people getting in fights. The worse being the 2005 game, were a fight would break out one after the other. It seemed as if everyone was fighting. Here you can see people you have not seen in years or hang out with good friends.
