La Tour is a village located in Johnson County, Missouri. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 65.

Geography

La Tour is located at 38°38'2" North, 94°6'9" West (38.633986, -94.102628)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²). 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 65 people, 23 households, and 18 families residing in the village. The population density is 228.2/km² (583.4/mi²). There are 28 housing units at an average density of 98.3/km² (251.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 96.92% White, 1.54% African American, 0.00% Native American, 1.54% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 23 households out of which 34.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.9% are married couples living together, 8.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 17.4% are non-families. 13.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.83 and the average family size is 3.05.
