Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador Labrador City is a small town in western Labrador (part of the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador), near the Quebec border. Its population as of 2001 was approximately 8,000. Labrador City is neighboured by Wabush, a smaller town with a population of approximately 2,000 as of 2001; together, the "twin towns" are known as Labrador West. Wabush has the only airport in western Labrador, and is served by three commercial airlines: Air Canada Jazz, Air Labrador, and Provincial Airlines.
