Lac La Belle is a village located mostly in Waukesha County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 329. The village is located mostly within the Town of Oconomowoc in Waukesha County. In March 2002, the village annexed a portion of land in the Town of Ixonia in Jefferson County.

Geography

Lac La Belle is located at 43°8'44" North, 88°31'33" West (43.145460, -88.525757)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.8 km² (0.7 mi²). 1.8 km² (0.7 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 329 people, 117 households, and 109 families residing in the village. The population density is 186.8/km² (484.1/mi²). There are 127 housing units at an average density of 72.1/km² (186.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 99.70% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.30% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.30% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 117 households out of which 35.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 84.6% are married couples living together, 9.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 6.0% are non-families. 3.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 1.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.81 and the average family size is 2.88.

In the village the population is spread out with 22.8% under the age of 18, 4.6% from 18 to 24, 24.6% from 25 to 44, 37.1% from 45 to 64, and 10.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 44 years. For every 100 females there are 91.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 91.0 males.

The median income for a household in the village is $96,712, and the median income for a family is $100,000. Males have a median income of $89,119 versus $39,375 for females. The per capita income for the village is $46,749. 1.8% of the population and 2.7% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 2.5% of those under the age of 18 and 0.0% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
