Lake County is a county located in the state of Tennessee. As of 2000, the population is 7,954. Its county seat is Tiptonville6.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 502 km˛ (194 mi˛). 423 km˛ (163 mi˛) of it is land and 79 km˛ (30 mi˛) of it is water. The total area is 15.68% water.

The racial makeup of the county is 66.63% White, 31.19% Black or African American, 0.39% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.62% from other races, and 1.03% from two or more races. 1.37% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
