Dr Sattar said that the people of Landhi and Korangi would bring the party in a winning position in the upcoming by-elections and the Muttahida would have 18 seats in the National Assembly.
Talking to newsmen, the Muttahida leader informed that the situation in Landhi and Korangi was improving and after a long time the political activities were being resuming in these areas.
He was of the view that after the abolition of no-go areas, and the entry of Muttahida in these areas, the trust of the residents had been restored.
Mr Nehal, a dejected resident of sector 5-D, Landhi No-6, claimed that policemen scaled the walls of his home in the wee hours of Wednesday, misbehaved with his family members and also abused women.
He claimed the police, led by a formerly suspended SHO of Landhi, Anwar Hussain Jaffery, had been raiding houses in the area and picking up innocent youth.
Sources said Anwar Hussain Jaffery had earlier been suspended in April and a departmental inquiry was initiated against him in the custodial death of Saleemuddin, a Haqiqi activist.
