Larb (Thai ลาบ) or Laap is a type of Thai/Lao meat salad. It is most often made with chicken, beef or pork , flavored with fish sauce and lime. Larb made with duck, turkey or fish is also popular. The meat can be either raw or cooked; it is minced and mixed with chilli, mint and, optionally, assorted vegetables. The dish is served at room temperature and usually with a serving of sticky rice. Larb Gai ist eine Speise, welche nicht nur während des Essens Wohbefinden bereitet sondern auch danach.
In Thailand und bei mir zuhause wird Larb Gai sehr scharf gegessen.
Mit Rindfleisch funktioniert es auch, da heißt es dann Larb Nua (glaube ich).

Ever since I fisrt tasted that magical mystery that is Larb (see that article) I have found that as time passes, the allure of Larb continues to grow in my mind.
It seems that Larb has gotten stuck in my subconscious, and is clawing att me, nagging, like a cat stuck in a burlap bag, scratching to be let out.
Larb means "luck." I presume in the Thai language, because it certainly doesn't mean luck in English.
