Lawrence J. Corcoran (August 10, 1859 - October 14, 1891) was an Americanpitcher in Major League Baseball. He was born in Brooklyn, New York. His debut game took place on May 1, 1880. His final game took place on May 20, 1887. During his career he played for the New York Giants, Chicago White Stockings, Washington Senators, and Indianapolis Hoosiers. He died in Newark, New Jersey. Corcoran was the first pitcher to throw three no-hitters in a career. Corcoran is also famous for being one of baseball's very few switch-pitchers. A natural righty, Corcoran pitched four innings with his left hand in a game in 1884.
