The Late Hojo clan is a modern day clan, formed in the U.S., that follows the teachings of a leader, whose traditional name would be Mido. This is because the leader of the Kokiri was Mido. There are different clans, the Late Hojo being one of them, each with a similar belief system- that of the triforce. They believe that Din, the goddess of power, formed the earth, Ferore, the goddess of courage, made all life, and Nayru, created law that would guide the people. Most try to remain secretive, but if you see a person with a triforce (3 triangles) on their hand then they are most likely part of one of these clans. The creation of the hojo clan took place shortly after the realease of the Nintendo 64 game, The legend of Zelda, Ocarina of time. Each clan usually has a language, which could be anything from a cipher from the English language, or an entire different language, with its own symbols. Some clans also require their followers to prove themselves by participating in events that could lead to death or serious injury and others are just open clans, letting friends of clan members in.
In Japan in 587AD the Soga clan was victorious in a civil war defeating its rivals the Mononobe and Nakatomi clan and heralding the formal acceptance of Buddhism which it had overseen the introduction of from the mainland.
Those who sided with him against the Hojo did not do so out of a sense of loyalty to the idea of imperial rule, but rather out of a sense of grievance against the Hojo who not only were unable to guarantee good government, but had not sufficiently rewarded their vassals for their services.
In spite of having the vast estates of the Hojo at his disposal, the system whereby it was reallocated to his supporters was inefficient and corrupt, and discontent remained as rife under Go-Daigo as it had under the Hojo.
