Background/History
Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. Lunch is Muten-Rôshi's house maid, retrieved by the young Goku and Kuririn (Krillin) in order to receive martial-arts training from him (his requirement was to "bring him a pretty girl"). As the two fly off on Kintou-un, a blond-haired woman on a motorbike is being chased by the police; she had robbed a train and was fleeing with the money when they caught up. As the woman attempts to escape, a strand of her hair tickles her nose, causing her to sneeze and revert to her blue-haired form, quickly losing control of the bike and crashing. As the officers close in on the confused girl (who had no memory of her other self's actions), her terrified screams draw Goku and Krillin, who quickly beat up the "attackers" and bring the grateful girl to the Kame House, where she agrees to work for Roshi as his maid. She has very huge breasts, bigger than bulma and chi chi. When Launch first goes to Roshi's isle, she is convinced to take lessons from the turtle hermit. Roshi gives her a uniform; it was a sexy black and pink lingere piece. Launch starts to take off her shirt right in front of the men. Roshi knew that Launch was braless as her nipples were protruding out under her green tank top, and he was awaiting her shirt removal. But, Krillin gets embarrased and tells Launch to go inside to get changed. Launch then comes outside, wearing the lingere. She struts over to Roshi and the boys, and her innocent attitude leaves her unaware that she is wearing very sexy clothes in front of the three men. When she first goes outside, Roshi shoes a fly away. The fly buzzes over to Launch. Launch looks down at her nose, which was being severly tickled by the insect. Her nose, soon after, began to twitch from the tickle. Launch then started to well up a sneeze, and covered her nose with with her hands. Her hands weren't enoguh to stop the sneeze, and she let it out. She changes into her violent form and pulls out a machine gun. The violent Launch is changed back when a piece of her hair tickles her nose once more, causing her to change back into her blue-haired innocent state. When Lunch is happy to carry out her work for Muten-Rôshi, never realizing that the ancient pervert is constantly trying to grab, poke, rub or catch of glimpse of her breasts, panties, or bra. However, many of his schemes are foiled--if not by his own mistakes, then when Lunch's nose gets tickles and she sneezes, causing her to change into her violent half, who commits crimes for fun and is quick to respond with gunfire when angered (pulling a machine-gun out from gunspace when needed). Neither of Lunch’s personalities remembers what the other says or does, and it is never said if the evil side knows of the innocent self; however, the innocent Lunch is aware of her evil side (although she doesn't really seem very concerned over her presence). Hammerspace, or occasionally katanaspace, is a fan-envisioned, extradimensional, instantly accessible storage area in fiction. ...
Lunch often is shown in the original Dragon Ball, and develops a crush on Tenshinhan (Tien), which continues into the early Dragon Ball Z episodes; however, as with other side characters, she eventually tapers off to nothingness as the storyline shifts focus to the Saiyajin. It is a remote possibility that Lunch’s ability to shift form led to the idea of Saiyajin that could transform; in a sense, Lunch could be seen as the first “Super Saiyajin”, in regard to her transformation into a blonde with super abilities and a dominating personality. However, the series creator, Akira Toriyama, stated that he actually forgot about Lunch as the story went on, and the appearances that she makes in the anime DBZ are not in the original manga (where she appears in the last episodes of DBZ to give her energy to Goku for his Ultimate Sprit Bomb). Other Appearences
Final appearence of Lunch in the manga The real last appearence of Lunch in the manga was actually during a filler scene in the Freeza Saga, the only instance where she appeared after the 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai. They were inserts to the chapters found in Weekly Shonen Jump 1991 # 3 and 4. Since they're only gag-manga done at the request of the magazine, resulting in each mangaka from those two issues contributing holiday themed gag-manga inserts, they weren't considered as canon and were never included in the Tankobon, but since this doesn't contradict the manga's canon in any form or way it can actually be considered canon itself.
