The "Lausitzer Bergland" is a famous touristical region in germany and its been shown in several movies because of the beauty of the landscape and the magnificent litte villages with their churches in barock style and their wooden houses. Expecially the czechs side of the Lausitzer Bergland is an astonishing rural area in the middle of Europe.
Some of the bigger towns in this region are: Schirgiswalde, also known as the capital of carneval in the upper lusatia, Sluknov (Schluckenau) with its famous arboretum and Rumburk with its wonderful historical inner city. But not just the towns also the big villages of the region are attractive.
