LeToya Nicole Luckett, born March 11, 1981, in Houston, TX, is an American R&B soprano. She auditioned and became a part of 'Girl's Team', which would later become Destiny's Child. After the groups 1996, Luckett and fellow group member LaTavia Roberson grew more disenchanted with the groups manager (and Beyoncé's father), Mathew Knowles. Blessed with an angelic coloratura, it is said her voice was coherent enough to cut glass. After leaving Destiny's Child (or being fired depending on your point of view), LaToya and LaTavia started a new group Anjel, however as of 2005, she left the group because of creative differences. Luckett opened a boutique called Lady Elle in Houston. She is currently signed as a solo act to Universal Records. Houston redirects here. ...
