Born in 1984, Leanne's family origin is in Shanghai, China. She attends The University of British Columbia and is a second year student (she joined at the age of 20). When she was at the age of 20, she competed as #10 at Miss Chinese Vancouver 2004, taking the crown. She also took the titles of Miss Photogenic and Best Posture. In January, she arrived in Hong Kong to compete for the Miss Chinese International 2005 crown. Being considered just a favorite, she beated out big favorite, Fala Chen of New York for the title. Her performance was also cute, especially during the final interview portion. She received her prizes as Miss Chinese International 2005 the day after the pageant. She returned to Vancouver on February 1, 2006.


Being a TVB host

After winning Miss Chinese International 2005, she gave up her studies in Vancouver and started her acting career in TVB. Due to her limited Cantonese, she only hosted some shows in the TVB8 channel. Afterwards, she improved her Cantonese and is now starring in TVB series. Her first series will be "Love Guaranteed", playing as an assistant of Melissa Ng.
