Lee Ving (real name Lee James Capalero, born in Philadelphia,1949 - ) was the lead singer of the 80's punk band Fear. He became known, nationally, after the Halloween episode of Saturday Night Live, in which he called New Yorkers "homosexuals" and covertly sang "fuck you." While these were actual lyrics on the band's first record, the songs were not ready for national TV. Also during the performance, the members of the audience destroyed the set as Lee sang in the ensuing chaos. The band still plays but the only original member is Ving. Prior to forming Fear, he had sang in blues bands. Independence Hall, as it appears today. ...

He has also sung country music in the outlaw country genre with the band Range War. Right before Fear, Lee had long hair and played in a six piece blues act called Easy Love.
