Leesburg is a city located in Lake County, Florida. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 15,956. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 18,079[1]. Leesburg is located in central Florida, between Lake Harris and Lake Griffin, at the head of the Oklawaha River system.
