The Texas Legislature is the state legislature of the U.S. state of Texas. The Texas State Senate has 31 members and the Texas House of Representatives has 150 members. It meets in the capitol building in Austin, Texas. Regular sessions of the legislature meet every two years, although special sessions are often called.
