LEGO Adventures is a LEGO theme based on an Indiana Jones concept. The characters are an exploration and archaeology team in an unspecified setting quite similar to a pulp action movie. The first sets issued in this theme were an Egyptian theme, followed by Amazon jungle, and then a dinosaur island. Egypt (1998–1999)

Johnny Thunder: A very compassionate and brave Australian adventurer who lost both his parents as a teenager. Johnny's eyes flash when he's concerned.

Dr. Kilroy: 72-year old British archaeologist who used to adventure with Johnny's father, Daniel.

Pippin Reed: Her real name is Pippinannrannadini but everyone calls her Pippin. She's an American journalist who ran away from home when she was 17.

Sam Sinister: The villain. A looter and murderer who killed Johnny's father and tried to kill Dr. Kilroy.

Alexis Sinister Sam's sister who helps him with his latest plot against the trio. She kidnaps Pippin and dresses up as her to attempt to lure the heroes to their death. Alexis is killed in the end.

Orient Expedition (2003)

Babloo:Babloos mother adventured with Johnny's father. There are also hints to say the mother and Dr. Kilroy were once in love. Like Johnny he is an orphan. Babloo is trying to find the sunstone and save his village.

Sanje: Sanje's father adventured with Johnny's Father. He is a sherpa with a lot of experience in the mountains. Pippin also develops a romantic interest in Sanje though she doesn't tell him.

Jing Lee: A Freedom fighter who's mother adventured with Johnny's father. Jing Lee saves Johnny after he's poisoned and helps him find the golden dragon.
