Lego Exo-Force is a Japanese animation (anime) themed Lego product line, concentrating on mecha anime. Mecha anime fans have long used Lego bricks to build both imaginative new designs and their interpretations of classic mecha like the VF-1 Valkyrie and MS-06 Zaku II, but Exo-Force is the first Lego theme explicitly based around mecha anime. Although its advertised rollout was scheduled for January 5, 2006, numerous Exo-Force sets have been released in the United States before the scheduled rollout, in time for the holiday season of 2005. Like many sci-fi Lego themes, Exo-Force centers around a conflict between humans and a force which threatens them, in this case a race of robots, known as Devastators. To fight each other, both humans and robots design and operate giant mechanically-operated Exo-Suits. The storyline for Exo Force is, as of now, somewhat vague. Humans and Robots lived side-by-side on the Sentai Mountain. The robots revolted and blew the mountain in half. This explosion created a gorge in the middle of the mountain, into which the robots fell. The humans built bridges to maintain contact with the other side. Soon, the robots climbed out of the gorge, and built Exo-Suits to take over the mountain. They conquered the smaller side of the mountain and are now trying to take over the entire mountain. An as of yet unnamed scientist assembeled a team of teenagers to pilot his Exo-Suits and stop the robots. This is a list of Lego themes, or lines of Lego sets. ...
