The Leizhou Peninsula (雷州半岛; lei zhou ban dao; Liuchow) is a peninsula in the Guangdong province of southern China.


Geography

Leizhou Peninsula is located on the southwestern end of the Guangdong province, between the Gulf of Tonkin and the South China Sea. Hainan island/province is located offshore across a narrow strait, south of the Leizhou Peninsula.


There are a few inactive volcanoes on Leizhou Peninsula.
