Leon is a town located in Waushara County, Wisconsin. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,281.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 94.0 km² (36.3 mi²). 93.2 km² (36.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.8 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.85% water.

As of the census² of 2000, there are 1,281 people, 539 households, and 384 families residing in the town. The population density is 13.7/km² (35.6/mi²). There are 851 housing units at an average density of 9.1/km² (23.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 98.83% White, 0.00% African American, 0.47% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.70% from two or more races. 0.70% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
