Lesbos is one of the Prefectures of Greece. It is part of the archipelagic Periphery of the North Aegean. It borders the prefectures of Evros in the north and Chios in the south. East lies Turkey's west coast (Ayvalık and Çanakkale coasts), while west lies the central Aegean Sea.
