LeslieWard, a senior all-state middle blocker at Brenham High School, has verbally announced her intention of attending East Texas Baptist University and continuing her volleyball career with the Tigers.
Ward was a repeat all-state selection her senior season despite suffering three different stress fractures in her legs at the same time, forcing her to sit much of her senior year.
Ward worked out with the team the entire season and returned to the court again late in the District 18-4A race, helping the Cubettes earn a late-season victory over fellow Class 4A Region III finalist Klein Oak in their final district match.
