Lex Lang is an American producer, director, voice actor, celebrity voice match specialist, songwriter, music producer and philanthropist. He is the co-founder of Love Planet Records and The Love Planet Foundation, a non-profit organization which creates education for children on the importance of recycling, world water awareness, and the preservation of the planet. The lex utility generates C programs to be used in lexical processing of character input, and that can be used as an interface to yacc.
When lex.yy.c is compiled and linked with the lex library (using the -l l operand with c89 or cc), the resulting program reads character input from the standard input and partitions it into strings that match the given expressions.
The lex utility is not fully internationalised in its treatment of regular expressions in the lex source code or generated lexical analyser.
