Liaoning Technical University (辽宁工程技术大学) is a university in Liaoning, China under the provincial government.

Liaoning Technical Unibersity is one of the national key universities and was founded before the birth of new China.

For more than Half a century ,accompanied by rapid advance of the Republic , Liaoning Technical University has been developing vigorously and growing fast. In 1978 LNTU was acknowledged as one of the 88 key universities by the State Council and LNTU was granted the authority to award the master's degree in 1981, and the authority to award the doctor's degree in 1993 and as one of the 200 units to have the qualification to enroll foreign students , the authority to set up a post-doctor research mobile station to award engineering master's degree in 1999.

Today ,Liaoning Technical University has become a famous institute focusing on the whole body of personnel training , scientific research, social service, with disciplines of engineering, science, liberal arts, management,economics and law,and characterized by perfect university-running equipment and abundant teaching power. At present Liaoning Technical Unibersity is composed of 14 colleges and departments : College of Resources and Environment Engineering, College of Mechanical Engineering, College of Business Administration, Vocational College, Department of Mechanics and Engineering, etc. and 58 majors of undergraduates and higher vacational education .

LNTU has an enrollment of over 17,000 students and 3,000 adults. LNTU has not only traditional subjects but also new ones. The university has a post-doctor research mobile station of mining engineering , 5 majors for doctor's degree, 23 majors for master's degree, 5 majors for engineering master's degree, 5 provincial and ministerial key subjects and 4 ministerial key laboratories. The university has 190 professors, 310 associate professors, 128 senior lecturers and 130 doctors or studying for doctorate, in addition, lots of teachers were well-established as provincial and ministerial century-crossing academic leaders and distinguished talents. The university also has perfect teaching and research equipment with more than 31 laboratioried including modern CAI center. The library has a collection of more than 1100,000 books and 2,000 kinds of Chinese and foreign periodicals.

LNTU attaches great importance to academic exchanges and cooperations, having established intercollegiate relaiton with over 10 universityis and research institutes of Germany, the US and other foreign countries. International exchanges and cooperations in such field as exchanging experts, scholars and studying-abroad people and joint-cultivation of students have been fulfilled.

At the beginning of the new century which is full of hopes and challenges, all the teachers and staff members of LNTU, with great confidence and with the spirit of unity and diligence, are striving to build LNTU into a first-rate technical University at home and a more influential one in the world with multi-disciplinary coordinative development, strong comprehensive strength and higher teaching and research levels.
