Liga Fronte Veneto is a splinter party of the Northern League which claims independence from Italy for the Veneto. It was formed in 1998 as the Liga Veneta Repubblica, and changed its name to Veneti d'Europa before assuming the current title after a merger with the Fronte Marco Polo. The party is led by Fabrizio Comencini who was national secretary of Liga Veneta (Veneto branch of the Northern League) from 1994 to 1998.
