In 2063, Sloane was transported aboard the USS Enterprise-E by Dr. Beverly Crusher after suffering from radiation poisoning because of a Borg attack that damaged the Phoenix. She became separated from a group of medical personnel and casualties fleeing the ship's sickbay when the Borg boarded the Enterprise-E. Sloane also helped Captain Jean-Luc Picard to defeat the Borg assault on Earth. After the Enterprise-E was re-captured, she returned to witness Earth's first contact with the Vulcans in Bozeman, Montana on April 5, 2063.
