In 2063, Sloane was transported aboard the USS Enterprise-E by Dr. Beverly Crusher after suffering from radiation poisoning because of a Borg attack that damaged the Phoenix. She became separated from a group of medical personnel and casualties fleeing the ship's sickbay when the Borg boarded the Enterprise-E. Sloane also helped Captain Jean-Luc Picard to defeat the Borg assault on Earth. After the Enterprise-E was re-captured, she returned to witness Earth's first contact with the Vulcans in Bozeman, Montana on April 5, 2063. Lily Sloane was a 21st century Human female who worked with Zefram Cochrane in his effort to build Earth's first warp-capable spacecraft, the Phoenix.
Sloane was, however, felled by theta radiation leaking from the damaged Phoenix and transported aboard the orbiting USS Enterprise-E by Doctor Beverly Crusher.
Picard escorted Sloane to a compartment aboard the Enterprise where he opened an airlock to demonstrate her situation to her and the fact that she was not in Montana anymore.
