Liminka (Limingo in Swedish) is a municipality in the province of Oulu, in Finland. Founded in 1477, Liminka is located about 25 kilometres south of Oulu. The population of Liminka is 7,482 (December 31, 2005) and the municipality covers an area of 643.59 km² (excluding sea areas) of which 4.78 km² is inland water (January 1, 2004).
