She was most known as half of the supercouple Quint and Nola, playing alongside actor Michael Tylo, on Guiding Light. She played the role of Nola Reardon Chamberlain from 1980 to 1985 and again from 1995 to 1998. Nola also had a legendary rivalry with Quint's sister Vanessa (played by Maeve Kinkead).
Brown also created another notable soap role in the form of Iva Snyder on As the World Turns, playing her from 1985 to 1994 and with several guest appearances from 1998 to 2003. Over the past few years she has worked as an acting coach for Guiding Light as well as One Life to Live. She was asked to return to Guiding Light, but after the shabby treatment she received from then-executive producer Paul Rauch during her last years on the show, she declined.
Brown also starred in the Broadway version of 42nd Street in the early 80's. Other daytime work includes a short stint as a corrupt FBI agent on Loving in 1995.
Brown was married to actor Tom Nielsen, who had once played her boyfriend Floyd Parker on GL, from 1982-1991. In 1997 she married Brian Neary. Her oldest son, James Anthony Nielsen, played her infant son on GL from 1984-1985. Her son Buddy Nielsen, is a member of the punk group Senses Fail (http://www.sensesfail.com/), and Brown helps produce and direct their videos.
When Lisa Pantzer was driving through Brown County on her way home from visiting family in Valparaiso a few years ago she had no idea a lovely place in Van Buren Township would soon become the place she calls home.
Lisa has successfully combined creativity with science in her vet practice and that should not be a surprise to anyone who knows her.
Lisa gained some recognition in Brown County recently when she received a second place award for “other media” at the T.C. Steele Fall Plein Aire event in 2004 and an honorable mention award in 2005.
