But one of the biggest towns of the Republic is Dogana, that is not an autonomous castello but belongs to the castello of Serravalle. As matter of fact castelli, like Italian comuni, includes a main town that is the seat of the castello, called capoluogo, and some little place or localities known as frazioni (fractions).
