Note: I have made several corrections because lots of data was grossly incorrect, specially for Israel, Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Iraq ,etc.. For example,in Israel at 1000m snow fells an average of 4 times a year and at 600m once a year. At Mosul,Iraq snow has been reported lots of times with blizzards and temperatures as low as -17.8C in January 1911,so it should definitely be listed with the countries receiving snowfalls below 1000m,although it doesn't occur every year, of course. In Tunisia snow has covered the beaches at least 6 times in the XX century (1999 last time)and it was even more common in the XIX. |
