- In the Pokémon anime and video games, there is a type of Pokémon known as the Dragon type (see Pokémon types) that originated in the first series of game titles (Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow) and continued onward through following game titles (see List of Pokémon video games). It was originally limited to only Dratini, Dragonair, and Dragonite. Later it was expanded to include Kingdra (duplexed with water), Altaria, Flygon(both include Flying), Rayquaza, Salamence, Latias/Latios(duplexed with Psychic), and others. Some popular Pokémon such as Charizard, Gyarados, and Lugia are commonly mistakened to be of the dragon type, but are not dragons. Some of this comes from the fact that a few of them can learn attacks of the dragon type.
- Various monsters and zords are based on Dragons from the Power Rangers series. For Zords, these include including Tommy Oliver's Green Dragonzord from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Jason Lee Scott's Red Dragon Thunderzord from the second season of the series and the Mystic Dragon from Power Rangers: Mystic Force. In addition there is also a friendly dragon the Rangers in Mystic Force hatch named Fire Heart, who has the ability to transform into the Red Ranger's battilizer for this season. Also, a great deal of the monsters and villains the Rangers fight are Draconic. These include Titanisaur from Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy, Impus/Olympius from Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue as well as one of his monsters, the Infinitor. There is also the Ruby Dragon from Power Rangers: Dino Thunder and finally Megahorn and Gekkor from Mystic Force.
