 | Foreign Secretary: No we did not discuss that, I think that would be far too sweeping and not particularly helpful, there are countries who are perfectly entitled, think of Kuwait for example, perfectly entitled to rebuild armed forces which were dispersed or shattered during the war. |

 | It is therefore perfectly natural that the IEPG ministers, at their meeting in Brussels on 3 July this year, focussed their attention on the role to be played by the IEPG against the background of the developments which have taken place in the various European fora with an interest in defence matters. |
