  • Just refers to just intonation.
  • Pythagorean means a ratio of a power of 3 and a power of 2, such as would be found in Pythagorean tuning.
  • Harmonic means an overtone in the harmonic series, transposed to fit within the octave.
  • Septimal means any ratio with a multiple of seven as its numerator or denominator.
  • Similarly, undecimal means a ratio involving a multiple of eleven, and so on.
