Online Encyclopedia and Dictionary - Television program (1169 words)
A television movie is a movie that is initially aired on television rather than being released in cinemas or direct-to-video, although many successful television movies are later released on video.
The content of television programming may be factual (for example documentaries, news or reality television) or fictional (for example comedy or drama).
Common TV program periods include regular broadcasts (like TV news), TV series (usually seasonal and ongoing with a duration of only a few episodes to many seasons), or TV miniseries which is an extended film, usually with a small pre-determined number of episodes and a set plot and timeline.
The Problems with Television (1332 words)
When a person watches television and notices that the speaker is not exactly pleasing to look at, that person will either change the channel or form a bias against what that person is saying — even if the speaker was to argue cogently for some issue.
Television, because of it’s bias away from logic and depth and toward style, dictates that its contents be entertaining.
Television creates a population who can easily be persuaded in support of issues which benefit a certain segment of the population more than any other.
