| The program is coordinated and facilitated by the Centre, but the students themselves are the leaders and choose the direction of their interactions. |
| The goals of the program are to help students stay in school, bring education to the workplace and the workplace to education, help the partner become a productive member of the community, and assist the partner to develop a sense of self-esteem and ability to make choices. |
| The program includes an 18 month facilitated learning relationship between a mentor and a mentee; a central coordinator who assists in matching mentors and mentees, mentorship training for all participants, career planning workshops for mentees, monthly correspondence from the program coordinator on topics of interest, and a bi-annual mentorÕs networking breakfast. |
