Liubov Sergeyevna Popova (Любовь Сергеевна Попова) 1889-1924. Russian Avant-garde artist (Cubist, Suprematist and Constructivist), painter and fabric designer. Liubov Popova was born near Moscow. In 1907 she studied art with S.Zhukovskiy. In 1912 she studied art in Paris. In 1915-1916 Liubov Popova together with other Avantgarde artists (A.Ekster, N.Udaltsova, O. Rozanova and the others) joined the group Supremus that was led by the founder of Suprematism Kazimir Malevich. In the same piriod of time she with the group of the artists-suprematists (Kazimir Malevich, Aleksandra Ekster, Nina Genke-Meller, Nadezhda Udaltsova, Olga Rozanova, Ksenia Boguslavskaya, Ivan Puni and the others) worked in Verbovka Village Folk Centre (province in Kiev).
