This was the final single from Gloria Estefan’s concept album Into the Light, this song could be understanding more has a demostration of love from Gloria Estefan to her husband, producer and musician Emilio Estefan Jr., even when the song was written by them but with the collaboration of Diane Warren. "Coming Out of the Dark", "Live for Loving You", "How Can I be Sure" and "Hoy" are some of the song that Gloria has dedicated to her husband. "Live for Loving You" was the most danceful’ single of all the singles that were released in this album, and was the second with the most highest positions at the charts and is considered as a "Favorite" by the Estefan fans. The video of the song is in 3D and show an animated Miami when it features Gloria Dalmatian dog, also her husband and her son appeared at the video. Gloria also recorded the video of the "Underground Remix", but it hasn’t featured at any video collection of Gloria like the normal version, who appears at the very start of the "Everlasting Gloria" video collection. This song was included at the "Gloria Hitmix" and "Partytime!" singles, that were released later as special singles mixing all the Gloria’s best dance songs.
