In '86 the group split up but the original line-up reformed in '88.
Things get confusing: LizMitchell leaves to form another version of "Boney M" with Reggie Tsiboe, while Farian keeps the "original" version of Boney M going.
A subsequent court case results in a ruling where all four original members were entitled to perform as "Boney M", with Mitchell's version being "the official" Boney M. In 1994 there are no less than three versions of the group in business.
