Lokeren is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Lokeren proper and the towns of Daknam and Eksaarde. On January 1st, 2004 Lokeren had a total population of 37,304 (18,403 males and 18,901 females). The total area is 67.50 km² which gives a population density of 552.67 inhabitants per km².

Naam/trefwoord b.v Hotel of Muller N.V. Lokeren is een stad in de provincie Oost-Vlaanderen in België.
De oudste vermelding van Lokeren dateert van het begin van de 12e eeuw.
Uit de Lokerse geschiedenis onthouden wij nog twee scharniermomenten: het verkrijgen van een marktoctrooi van Keizer Karel in 1555 en het toekennen van de titel ‘stad’ ten tijde van Napoleon in 1804.
