Levy This article does not cite any references or sources. (May 2007) Please help improve this article by adding citations to reliable sources. Unverifiable material may be challenged and removed. | London Drugs is only one of a few retailers who choose to advertise the Canadian Recording industry Levy on recordable media separately on the consumers bill. They do this because the majority of consumers are unaware that such a levy even exists. For example, CD-Rs have a levy of $0.21 per disk so a 50 pack which has a price tag of $19.99 comes out to $30.49 (plus tax) with the levy applied.
London Drugs Growth The company started its expansion eastwards after the initial successes of its first store in Vancouver, achieving successes in the provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta they continued to expand East. London Drugs is focused on steady conservative growth and is always looking for new locations and opportunities.
Tobacco London Drugs has been checking ID for tobacco purchases for individuals who appear to be under 25 years of age. Starting May 1, 2007 London Drugs is joining a growing number of retailers who are asking for government issued ID for all tobacco purchases. Customers have been informed of this change by multiple signs in the store and around the Customer Service Desk; the area where tobacco products must be purchased. Questions have been asked as to why London Drugs has taken such action and the response has been to combat the sale of tobacco products to individuals who are under age. London Drugs now joins a small number of retailers who have enacted similar policies. As a Pharmacy first, London Drugs also offers Smoking Cessation information. All stores have Pharmacists that can assist customers in their attempt to stop smoking. All tobacco products are placed in special bags that have literature on how to stop smoking and the benefits of a healthier lifestyle choice.
Customer Service London Drugs is known for providing a wide range of technology products and services that meet the needs of its customers. London Drugs pricing is usually in line with other major retailers on most items. In the event that a product is on sale at a competitor though, London Drugs will match the pricing as long as it is the same product (i.e.: not a different model), the price is verifiable and the competitor has it in stock. The London Drugs price guarantee also extends for 30 days after the date of purchase as well, meaning if the price of an item drops within a month of the customer purchasing it they can return within that month to claim the new lower price. London Drugs will also take returns on items up to 15 days after the date of purchase provided the customer has the original receipt and the product is returned in its original packaging with all included accessories present.
