A truck, in the sense of a commercial large goods vehicle. This is the usual usage in Britain and many other Commonwealth countries as opposed to the US English term truck, meaning a large truck, and not a car style truck as also referred to in the US as a truck (e.g. a pick-up truck).
The word originally meant a sort of heavy horsedrawn wagon. This is an obsolete usage.
