LosAngeles, known as "L.A." or the "City of Angels", is the largest city in the state of California and the second-largest in the United States, as well as one of the world's major global cities.
LosAngeles was incorporated as a municipality on April 4, 1850—five months before California achieved statehood—and is the county seat of LosAngeles County.
LosAngeles is also known to be the home of the first HMO, Ross-Loos Medical Group, 1929 is considered to be the first Health Maintenance Organization in the United States.
The show traditionally took place in early January, but will be moved to December so as not to be overshadowed by the North American International AutoShow.
Beginning with the December, 2006 show, the LosAngelesshow will be only the second International AutoShow in the United States to be officially recognized by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles.
The 2006 LosAngelesshow was held on January 6 through January 15.
