Los Llanos de Aridane is a municipality in the Canary Islands on the island of La Palma in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Officially after the early-2000s, Los Llanos de Aridane is finally larger than the capital and became the only municipality in the Canary Islands to be larger than the island capital in population and is the most populated as well in La Palma. It is situated on the westcentral and the southwestern parts of the island of La Palma. Los Llanos de Aridane is linked with the highway that encircles the whole island and to El Paso and the capital and is located southwest of Santa Cruz de La Palma and west of the La Palma Airport.
