History
Samuel Speed started ResTV in 2000 and quickly became known as TechTV by overwhelming popularity. The channel has grown considerably and now features hollywood films as sanctioned by ResCinema distribution company for universities nationwide. However, the university's channel shares the TechTV name with a major national channel dedicated to technology, however, TechTV was purchaed by G4 and no longer exists. Some fans of techTV (US) are not happy that the TechTV name is being used, hoping that the late TechTV image and name can finally be put to rest.
