Lubao, which is located in the southwestern part of Pampanga has 44 barrios or barangays and has a population of 110,000. It is noted for rice, sugar cane, fish, and sampaguita. Lubao's most famous sons and daughters include former President Diosdado Macapagal and current President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. Other famous "Lubenians" include movie stars, Rogelio and Jaime dela Rosa, the movie director, Gregorio Fernandez and Huk commander, Silvestre Liwanag alias "Linda Bie".and bong pineda "jueteng king"
