His radio career began at Bradford university radio station, Ramair. He graduated in Environmental Science he went on to be Communications Officer as an exec of the University student's union. He then went on to present for Galaxy, where he doubled the drivetime audience in two years.
He moved to Hallam FM in south Yorkshire and launched Late Night Lucio in 2002, which made him Britain's youngest talkshow host.
Up until May 2005 he presented the drivetime show on Birmingham's Kerrang radio. He won a Sony radio award, beating Radio 1's Colin and Edith.
He was then poached to join xfm in London for their weekend show.
