Ludowika Eilers married his Finish figure skating partner Walter Jakobsson in 1911. Therfore the International Skating Union counts their medals 1910 and 1911 at the Worlds half for Germany and half for Finland. After the marriege she became a true Finish.


Ludowika Jakobsson-Eilers was also successful in Ladies singles in figure skating. In 1911 whe won the bronze medal at the Worlds representing still Germany.


1920 Ludowika Jakobsson-Eilers was the only German born athlete at the Olympics in Antwerp.
