Ludwik Mateusz Dembowski (b. 1768 in Góra, Poland - 1812 in Valladolid, Spain), was a Polish general and traveler.


After the fall of the Kosciuszko Uprising went to France. He served in Polish Legions under Jan Henryk Dabrowski, with the French Army send to San Domingo.

Dembowski is a lunar crater located to the southeast of the Sinus Medii.
To the east are the Agrippa and Godin craters, and to the southwest is Rhaeticus crater.
The floor of Dembowski is covered by lava flow that has eradicated the eastern half of the rim, leaving only a slight rise in the surface where the outer wall once lay.
